We invite you to join us Thurs, 4/20 for Oyster Day at Driftwood Bar!
Next week, our distilling team is launching a special, taproom-exclusive oyster spirit! They wanted to create a spirit specifically designed to be used in caesars, and naturally were inspired by Mezcal de Pechuga, however, instead of chicken breast decided to use Pacific Beach oysters from Evening Cove Farms; supplied by those handsome shuckers over at Wandering Mollusk.
Our process was simple, we took our B.C. grain-neutral spirit and hung oysters in the still to allow the distillate to take on the unique flavours that the oysters provided.
The end result… a spirit like no other. The flavours of the oysters are perfectly encapsulated in a spirit and a whole pile of freshly steamed oysters. Though those oysters were enjoyed on the day of distillation, we invite you to come to try our Oyster Spirit caesars, a special cocktail list, and freshly shucked oysters from Wandering Mollusk this 4/20.
And for those that are more daring, try an ounce of a spirit with a freshly shucked oyster!
